Where is my time organ?

“But the interesting thing about time is that there is no spot. It’s a distributed property. It’s meta-sensory; it rides on top of all the others.”

"Eagleman looked at an optical illusion known as the flash-lag effect. The illusion could take many forms, but in Eagleman’s version it consisted of a white dot flashing on a screen as a green circle passed over it. To determine where the dot hit the circle, Eagleman found, his subjects’ minds had to travel back and forth in time. They saw the dot flash, then watched the circle move and calculated its trajectory, then went back and placed the dot on the circle. It wasn’t a matter of prediction, he wrote, but of postdiction."

“We are not conscious of the actual moment of the present. We are always a little late.”
Reality is a tape-delayed broadcast, carefully censored before it reaches us.

This sounds like thermo-regulation. There is no atom or molecule that 'is responsible for' the regulation of homeostasis. Distributed and heterogeneous time plotted against distributed and heterogeneous body temp. are both 'ensembles of dispositions' which communicate with and are manipulated by the environment.
